Cupping

Cupping is a form of myofacial therapy which decompresses soft tissues using vacuum suction, unlike other forms of myofacial techniques that compress soft tissues. During cupping, the cups are heated forming a vacuum that gently sucks to your skin and lifts underlying soft tissue into the cup. This stimulates the flow of blood and lymph, breaks up obstructions, and creates a channel for toxins to be drawn out of the body. Almost anyone can benefit from cupping. It is used to treat lack of mobility, tight muscles, scars and many diagnoses like headaches, tendinitis, bursitis, plantar fasciitis, fibromyalgia, and release of trigger points, as well as to break up phlegm from the lungs with coughing and asthma.

Cupping is one of the modalities that may be utilized during your acupuncture treatment. Separate 30 min cupping sessions may be booked upon request based on necessity.
